The weather was perfect with calm winds and clear skies Saturday night. I took a short drive to Brown Road to get some camera time with the night sky.

During the first hour shooting I was using autofocus and the images looked clear on the camera screen. Later, I switched to manual focus to infinity. Unfortunately, I didn’t realize how poorly out of focus my photos were under the autofocus mode. This is why we take so many photos when we are out.

This was a spare of the moment trip that gave me a chance to learn more about my new camera. The Canon EOS R is my first ever mirrorless camera and I am very satisfied so far.
