After spending some time taking photos the weekend before at the Trona Pinnacles, we found some great foreground props. The tufas offered some amazing foreground for some astronomy photos.
I captured some amazing photos of the tufas and a beautiful night sky filled with stars. At one point I shot 34 images from one location of the sky moving over a tall tufa over 45 minutes. The YouTube video below is made up of all still photos taken on this night shoot. You can see a 10 second clip of the star trail over the tufas in the video below.
